The most consistent breaks are found in Pacasmayo-Puemape. Punta Rocas is very similar just south of Lima. The longest left in the world is in a magic place Chicama. Other spots like Pacasmayo, Bermejo and Pimentel are nearby. This tour combines surfing adventures, historical sites and the best gastronomy in each city in Peru we get to visit.
Northern Peru is sunny with hot dry weather is almost of the time except in the unusual El Nino years when there can be heavy rain. The ocean has this awesome blue-green water quality and with water temperature between 17 °C and 23 °C.
There are 2 distinct seasons for surfing. The North swell season from November to March, and the South swell season from March to November. Because of this we can choose uncrowded beaches with plenty of empty waves. Waves in these zones are both heavily tide sensitive, direction sensitive, and size sensitive, so local knowledge is crucial. That’s why we have our Peruvian surf gurus as our tour conductors.

ITINERARY
Caral is the third oldest civilization in the world, it is contemporary with the pyramids of Egypt. It’s located 190 km north of Lima. Caral is the oldest civilization in America and has an approximate age of 5,000 years.
Although, there is no evidence explaining why the people who lived in Caral left their land or evidence to tell us what was the system of communication. Visit the citadel of Caral is a fascinating experience, from start to finish.
Itinerary:
Continuing our journey to Caral, we will arrive at 10:00 am.
After the visit in the citadel of Caral, we will go to the city of Huacho, where we have lunch.
After that we initiate the trip up north. Huanchaco, overnight in Trujillo.

CIRCUIT CHAN CHAN (3 HRS.)

We’ll start visiting the Temple of the Rainbow or the Dragon of the Chimu culture (S. XI to XV AD) which quadrilateral is surrounded by a trapezoidal wall 6 meters high. Tour of the Museum of Chan Chan site, which displays models of Moche and Chimu architectural style. Then visit the impressive archaeological complex of Chan Chan, which length is approximately 18 km square. The Tschudi Palace, located in the south west of Chan Chan is one of the nine best preserved. Its walls are decorated with stylized friezes in high relief with zoomorphic and geometric figures. Then we go to visit the ancestral HUANCHACO Fishing cove where we see the old ships.
CITY TOUR + ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM (2:30 HRS)

The beautiful stately and cultured city of Trujillo, not only holds the titles of Capital of Marinera and Spring Festival.
Our visit to the colonial monuments, civil and religious monuments will start with Bastion Wall ¨ Trujillo Herrera ¨. Then we continue to the Plazuela Recreation surrounded by lush and vintage Ficus in which we see a marble sink, formerly located in the Plaza de Armas. Then we go to the ITURREGUI Palace Tour, one of the finest in the north. The Emancipation House, neoclassical architecture, features murals Rococo Church of La Merced.
It finishes with a visit to the Archaeological Museum, exhibiting archaeological remains associated with the various Hispanic cultures that developed in La Libertad. The museum is in the house Risco, famous for its courtyards decorated with murals.

TEMPLES OF THE SUN AND MOON + MUSEUM MOCHE TEMPLES (3:00 HRS)

Located in the countryside of Moche. The temple of the Sun, built with more than 100 million bricks. The Huaca de la Luna is also a beautiful temple building. Recently, the modern Museum of Moche Temples was inaugurated.
ARCHAEOLOGICAL COMPLEX EL BRUJO + CAO MUSEUM (5 HRS.)

El Brujo is out on the Panamerican Highway north to Chicama valley, where you can see the extensive sugar cane crops. In this valley there is the greatest amount of sugar in the country. Factories like: Cartavio and Casa Grande are located nearby. «El Brujo» consists of 3 huacas: Cao, Partida and Prieta. In Huaca Cao there were found: polychrome paintings in different levels representing prisoners, dancing, fishing scenes, war and mythology of Moche beings. The Museum of the Lady of Cao mummy is recommendable to visit. Before the discovery of this mummy, it was thought that only men exercised official charges in ancient Peru.

SIPAN (SIPAN COMPLEX) (2:30 HRS.)

Sipan is located in Pomalca, where The Lord of Sipan was found with his intact tomb of an elite character (Moche 200-700 AD). This discovery is considered the most important archaeological one of the century.
BRÜNING MUSEUM – LAMBAYEQUE (2 HOURS)
(Visits daily – except Monday)
Located in Lambayeque, colonial town, only 12 kilometers from Chiclayo. The Bruning Museum is known as «National Archaeological Museum». The most important one in the northern part of Peru. It has four exhibition floors housing a collection of gold, silver and copper in various cultures developed in the region for 4,000 years.
ROYAL TOMBS OF SIPAN MUSEUM (2 HRS.)

In the visit in the museum you see a 1 minute video with the representation of the Lord of Sipan and Moche elite. The first floor speaks of the ceramic period throughout the Moche civilization from phase 1 to phase 5 ( 2ndCentury – 7th Century). It represents its flora, fauna, customs, physical features, states, military, religious, etc.

TÚCUME (VALLEY OF THE PYRAMIDS) (3 HRS.)

It is located 33 kilometers north of Chiclayo. It is a vast archaeological site, at the foot of Mount Purgatory or La Raya, where you can see 25 pyramids. On this visit we get to know: Huaca Las Estacas, Mirador, including Huaca Larga and its museum.

Early in the morning, we get ready to start the adventure. On our way to Machu Picchu, we get to see the beautiful landscape. We spend about 3 hours in there. Then, we get down to have lunch, after that we might have some free time to visit Aguas Calientes market. At 5:00 pm we catch the train to go back to Ollantaytambo, where the bus waits for us to go back to Cusco city and we arrive at 8:45 pm over there.
IMPORTANT NOTE: You must be 30 min before departure at the train station in Ollantaytambo and Aguas Calientes.
